“Don’t panic: this is an exercise”: Ostend builds a storm wall

The city of Ostend warns that residents should not worry. “It is purely a preventive exercise: there is no real danger!”

Containers with material have been placed here and there. The storm wall will be demolished again on Wednesday.

“For this exercise, the city of Ostend can count on the cooperation of the Maritime and Coastal Services Agency, the fire brigade and the police,” the city says.
