Key codes or access keys are slowly replacing traditional passwords. You too may come across a notification related to them, for example, when logging into your Gmail email or another Google service. Google has announced that it will encourage Google account users even more strongly to use passkeys instead of passwords. Depending on the context and the company, passkeys are called in Finnish, for example, “key code”, “passkey”, “security key” or “authentication key”. It’s the same thing though; the Finnish term is just not established.
