D’Onofrio case, Trentalange sentenced to 3 months of inhibition

The Federal Supreme Court thus sanctioned the former president of The Hague. Prosecutor Chiné had asked for 6 months

Three months of inhibition for the former president of The Hague Alfredo Trentalange. This is the sentence of the Federal Court which judged the former arbiter on the responsibilities he had in the D’Onofrio case, the former Aia prosecutor arrested for international drug trafficking.

Requests halved

The court, presided over by Roberto Proietti, only partially accepted the requests of the federal prosecutor Giuseppe Chiné who had asked for a 6-month inhibition. Trentalange will now appeal to the Federal Court of Appeal, as confirmed by his lawyers Alfredo Trentalange, Paolo Gallinelli, Bernardo Giorgio Mattarella and Avilio Presutti: “The Federal Prosecutor’s Office has obtained half of the requested penalty – they told Lapresse -. But we are more than half satisfied and we await the motivations of the first Federal Judges to propose an appeal before the Federal Court, even more convinced of our factual and juridical reasons”.
