The 24-year-old Van de Beek exchanged Manchester United for Everton on a rental basis last month. The former Ajax player has received a lot of playing time from his new trainer Frank Lampard in recent weeks. He seemed well on his way to play in the selection of the Dutch national team again. National coach Louis van Gaal did not need Van de Beek during the last international matches because the midfielder hardly got any playing time at Manchester United.
