Donation for earthquake victims from Lukas Podolski – Breaking News

While the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş affected 11 provinces, aid to the region continues. 37-year-old German football player Lukas Podolski, who played for Galatasaray and Antalyaspor for a while, also announced that he would help the earthquake zone. Lukas Podolski, who made a statement on his social media account, said, “I want to help make the container houses ready in the first place by donating 2 million TL.”

Podolski’s statement is as follows: “I was totally shocked when I received the tragic news in Turkey. I have always felt at home in this country, so I was affected by this disaster as if I had lost a part of myself. My condolences to everyone who lost their family, relatives and friends after this heartbreaking disaster. I wish you. My heart is with you in this difficult time. Very recently, I had the chance to visit the geography hit by the earthquake. As in every corner of Turkey, I was fascinated by its unique beauties. I am very sorry for the people who were affected by the earthquake and lost their homes and loved ones there. It’s a long process. I know it will happen, but I would like to donate 2 million TL for people who do not have a home at the moment and who are trying to start a new life, and I would like to help get container houses ready in the first place. I hope we can reach our first goal of 500 container houses as soon as possible. I will be ready to do my best. I want you to know that your brother Poldi is here for you and will always be by your side.”
