Their divorce was bitter at the time: Ivana accused her ex-husband of rape, but later came back to it, after which the couple evolved into an amicable relationship. Now Ivana has passed away, aged 73, “which means a second moment of goodbye for an ex-partner”, grief counselor Sarah Van Waeyenberghe knows. “First there was the divorce, which made a cross about the joint future. Now there is a cross left… what was left.”
