Don Matteo 13, the plot of the second episode
The quiet Spoleto becomes once again the scene of a murder. This time the victim is a lawyer, somehow related to a character who enters the cast in the second episode: Federico Limoniplayed by Mattia Teruzzi. What makes you think they know each other? Simple, the lynx’s eye Don Matteo (Terence Hill). The priest, in fact, sees the boy flee from the victim’s house.
Federico presents himself in a way that is anything but docile. He is aggressive, angry and rude, but perhaps behind the armor hides a fragile soul, looking for protection. And it is Don Matteo himself who sees, as always, a glimmer of hope behind an image that is not exactly positive. Little by little, a relationship of trust is established between the two, to the point that the parish priest decides to go to work to discover the truth. So, begins its own investigations.
Meanwhile, the scenarios in Spoleto have changed. The arrival of new protagonists moves the plot of the thirteenth season and opens up new possibilities. In particular, Valentina (Emma Valenti)the colonel’s daughter Anceschi (Flavio Insinna), begins to become familiar with the town and establishes a good relationship with the Public Prosecutor Marco Nardiplayed by Maurizio Lastrico.
While in, Anna (Maria Chiara Giannetta) is determined to forget Sergio (Dario Aita) and Nardi tries to be close to herat the suggestion of Cecchini (Nino Frassica), who is worried about his colleague. Will this feeling be a harbinger of more than just friendship? Nardi, however, begins to cultivate an understanding also with Valentina: is it the beginning of a love triangle?
Don Matteo 13, the last season with Terence Hill
The thirteenth season of Don Matteo will be remembered not only for the developments of the plot during the 10 episodes, but also for the sensational goodbye of Terence Hill to the series. Yes, after twenty-two years, the most famous priest on TV has decided to say enough is enough. The discharge from the fans of the series, however, will take place in a few weeks, exactly in the fifth episode.
He will be replaced by Raoul Bova. The intent of both the new protagonist and of the production, therefore of Rai, is of being able to replicate the success achieved by Terence Hill. An arduous undertaking, considering the affection that the public has always shown towards fiction.
It must be said, however, that Bova is an equally loved actor, always, and that his arrival – along with that of the new characters – will help reinvigorate the plot. Also, last season he starred in Good morning mom!, Channel 5 fiction that recorded excellent ratings.
