Before Terence Hill leaves the scene, life in Spoleto continues “quiet” as always, that is to say between murders and matters of the heart. There fourth episode opens with the murder of a parishioner. For the priest a good reason to pursue his own investigations. Meanwhile in the Umbrian town Franco Fanelli arrives, the half-brother of the Public Prosecutor Marco Nardi (Maurizio Lastrico).

The two, however, have never had good relations and the presence of Fanelli in Spoleto seems to be linked to other reasons, or rather the murder that Don Matteo is also dealing with. On the sentimental front, the new episode marks the beginning of a special closeness between Federico and Greta Alunni (Giorgia Agata). Will it be a harbinger of the birth of a new love?
