Domestic clothing companies in trouble: “Huh huh”

The problems of recent years, such as the corona pandemic, inflation, the global logistics crisis and the shortage of raw materials have tested numerous domestic clothing companies. Now, one after the other, they are shutting down. In the middle of this year, many domestic companies have announced that they will stop their operations, reduce their selection, or ask for help from social media so that operations could still continue. Arela, known for its cashmere knits, announced on Wednesday, May 3, that it was closing its operations. The release states that the reason for the cessation of operations is long-standing financial difficulties. In addition to this, the company’s founder Maija Arela states that the problems in the clothing industry are deeper, and it is almost impossible to make the operation profitable when you don’t want to give up quality or responsibility.
