From Paul McCartney to Miley Cyrus – on their new album ROCK STAR, which was released on November 17th, Dolly Parton collaborated with many stars in the music industry. For what is probably her most popular hit “Jolene”, the singer has now teamed up with Måneskin, who complement the country song with their distinctive rock sound.
In a social media post, the 77-year-old announced the feature with the Italian rock band, which is not among the 30 tracks on the record, but is only available on the exclusive download version. In addition to Damiano David’s smoky voice, which complements Parton’s vocals, band members Victoria De Angelis, Thomas Raggi and Ethan Torchio also play bass and drums.

In addition to the musician’s new songs, the album also includes some cover versions of classics such as The Police, “Every Breath You Take”, “Let It Be” by the Beatles and “Heart Of Glass” by Blondie, which were recorded Dolly Parton also brought the creators onto the tape. A total of 40 musicians took part in the work – including Elton John, P!nk, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts and Sheryl Crow.
Måneskin recently released the deluxe version of their debut album RUSH! (ARE YOU COMING?)”, which includes some bonus tracks, including the song “Valentine”, which was released with an accompanying music video.
