Dolly Parton donates a hefty sum to infectious disease research

The country legend once again donates a sheer amount of money for a good cause.

Country Queen Dolly Parton, 76, is once again donating money to the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

In recent years, Parton has made a number of donations to the center, most notably the $ 1 million grant for coronavirus vaccine research in April 2020.

Now Parton is donating another million dollars to the center again, and this time the money goes to research into infectious diseases in children.

According to a bulletin published by the center, the donation will help them tackle, among other things, the global problem of antibiotic resistance in bacteria.
