After performing her most recently released singles at the MTV Music Awards this week and receiving the VMA Award in the “Best Art Direction” category for her track “Attention,” Doja Cat’s fans can now rejoice once again. To bridge the wait until the release of her new album on September 22nd, she released her single “Balut” this Friday (September 15th).
A few weeks after the release of her song “Paint the Town Red” and the accompanying music video, it reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and the Global 200 chart. Another success for the rapper as this is the first rap song to reach number 1 on the Hot 100 in 2023. She also became the first female rap solo artist to reach No. 1 on the Spotify Top 50 – USA Charts this week.
Doja Cat’s announced “The Scarlet Tour” will also begin in North America in a few weeks. She is accompanied by Ice Spice and Doechii. Anyone who hasn’t yet had the chance to see the performer live on award show stages or music festivals now has the chance to get tickets for the upcoming tour.
