“Danse Macabre” music video animated using AI

Duran Duran have released the title song “Danse Macabre” from their album, which will be released on October 27th – and show a monster party in the accompanying music video. In keeping with the release date of their latest work, which is scheduled to appear a few days before Halloween, animated horror characters can be seen dancing to the new track. The band members also appear as skeleton-like figures.

Creative director Linc Gasking used AI technology to create the animated clip. In addition to Dracula, Pennywise, Nosferatu and the undead version of the Duran Duran band members, the song also adapts to the dark mood of the video: “Get dirty up on a danse macabre.” The band line-up in the video also reveals the return of former guitarist Warren Cuccurullo, who left the group in 2001. The keyboardist Nick Rhodes explained in a statement about the video that artificial intelligence helped to bring one’s own ideas and ideas to life:

“We started by thinking about who would be on the ultimate Halloween party guest list, then quickly developed a selection of witches, mythical beasts, vampires and demons using the latest AI animation techniques.”
