Doja Cat allegedly ‘verbally and physically abused’ by her brother

The mother of the two has now filed a temporary restraining order against the 30-year-old.

According to her mother, Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer, Doja Cat suffered verbal and physical abuse from her brother. In order to protect herself and her daughter, she is now said to have filed an injunction against Raman Dalithando Dlamini.

He is said to have knocked out her teeth and caused bruises

This information comes from court documents that TMZ is said to have obtained, in which details about the reasons for the allegations were also recorded. In the first place, Sawyer probably mentioned herself as a person seeking protection, as Dlamini is said to have physically abused and threatened her several times in the past year. The last incident would have occurred at the beginning of January 2024.

But Doja Cat also allegedly suffered from her older brother’s violent behavior, which is why her mother also pleaded for her safety. According to the file, the 30-year-old is said to have already knocked out his prominent sister’s teeth and caused cuts and bruises through physical assault. In addition, he is said to have violated their property, destroyed it and stolen it. Dlamini also verbally abused her “in a very degrading way,” which left her feeling “unsafe and traumatized.”

For now it’s time to wait

While the matter is under legal review, Deborah Elizabeth Sawyer has also been granted court-ordered protection for an interim period. However, this does not apply to Doja Cat, as in order to achieve this she would have to apply for a cease and desist order herself.

According to her mother, this is not the first attempt to take legal action against her son. There was already an interim injunction, but it had expired. The “Paint The Town Red” singer herself has not yet commented on the incidents.
