Dogs Coco and Nina left in stolen car, search for owners

It’s a big mystery: who is Coco and Nina’s owner? Those dogs were found Monday evening in a stolen white car, which was parked at the Beiaardstraat in Valkenswaard. The animal ambulance is looking for the owner of the animals, but so far without success.

It is unclear how the dogs ended up in the stolen car. “The police have investigated whether there is a link between the van and the animals,” said a spokesperson for the animal ambulance. “But there isn’t.”

The animals are chipped, so it could be determined that the dogs listen to the names Coco and Nina. But further information turned up nothing. “We called the telephone numbers that were registered on the chips. But there is no recording there. The question is whether the numbers are still active at all. The police are now investigating that.”

“There could also be something completely different going on.”

You would think the problem should be solved this way, if one does indeed miss their dogs. The spokesperson also thinks so. “So there may also be something completely different going on. We have to wait and see. In the meantime, we are trying to reach as many people as possible via Facebook in the hope that more becomes clear.”

The dogs are currently housed at animal shelter DOC-Zuid in Valkenswaard. “If no one reports within two weeks, the animals will be relocated.”
