canimals and cats at Palazzo Madama. The president Ignazio La Russa has opened an investigation after the request of Michaela Biancifiore. The senator is in fact carrying on a battle to make the presence of pets in the Senate.
Dogs and cats at Palazzo Madama, the Biancofiore hypothesis is being worked on
This is a modification of the regulation of Palazzo Madama. After the request has arrived at the college of senators and quaestors, an investigation by the officials of the Senate is therefore necessary (which has been under way for about twenty days) and then the approval of the Presidential Council.
The request is that dogs and cats can be admitted in the Senators’ offices and of the employees who request it (not in the Chamber), with relative assumption of written responsibility.
«It is unacceptable that pets can enter anywhere but not in the offices of those who write the lawsincluding the reform that included the protection of animals in the Constitution», the opinion of Biancofiore who, alas, he often has to be absent all afternoon from Palazzo Madama to look after his dog, Puggythe much-loved ten-year-old pug who is part of his family.
Michaela Biancofiore and Puggy the pug
«My little angel», as he tells it on Instagram. «A balm for the heart that I would wish for all». Who knows if the good news for the senator, group leader of the Moderates, will not arrive by 22 June. The last Friday of June is World Office Dog Day.
“I’d like to know who ever bothers if my now elderly Puggy, while I work in the office on bills for the people – and obviously not in the classroom, stay in a kennel next to me. Anyone who wants to prevent pets, which are now part of our family, from having access to workplaces, restaurants, hotels, beaches, is out of this world and has no heart because for many citizens they are the only affection in a sometimes arid society.
The reply: “A dog yes, my daughter no”
On Twitter the reservations of the Northern League deputy Laura Ravetto. «I find it really curious (euphemism) that we are here to discuss letting dogs and cats into Parliament – she writes – and I, as a mother, I can’t let my 5 year old daughter in if by any chance the babysitter is sick or can’t.”
