Dog, where do I put you? The community of dog-sitter volunteers

StOften they have already had a dog, and know how much affection it can give, but at the moment they cannot keep one. Or they are passionate about animals and, before adopting, they rightly want to test themselves by spending some time alone. The community I trust you soon puts these people, available to take care of a dog for free, in contact with those who have a dog and find it difficult to manage it at a certain time of the year or time of day. From a simple 15-minute walk to a vacation, the platform promises to make everyone happy. The owner, who can be absent without guilt. The volunteer, enjoying some of the pleasure of having a dog. And the animal itself, to which extra doses of pampering and attention go.

The community that brings together the dog owner and the volunteer eager to take care of him

Born in France in 2017, landed in Spain and now also in Italy, the platform (about 800,000 subscribers in all) is available via web or apps (on the AppStore and on Google Play). To join it, just create your own profile as owner or volunteer in a few steps: this way you can get in touch with members in your area. Owners can enter a file with the physical and behavioral characteristics of their pet. This way you can get to know each other and above all meet before foster care, so that the dog makes friends with whoever will take care of him.

If love at first sight strikes, and above all if the necessary trust is created between the two parties, then this new relationship between dog and volunteer can begin.

I trust you soon: verified profiles, recommendations and no costs

Always verified profiles, cognitive meetings, veterinary advice, tips on dog welfare, veterinary insurance and civil liability insurance: these are some of the services that Ti Presto Fido offers to its members.

The platform is free and provides that dogs are looked after by volunteers for free. Obviously, if the dog’s custody is extended, the owner must provide food and everything needed for Fido’s well-being.

A solution against dog abandonment

Ti Presto Fido also tries to offer supportive solutions to the rampant phenomenon of abandonment, which is often due to the impossibility for many owners to take care of their pet. According to data from LNDC Animal Protection, 50,000 dogs are abandoned in Italy every year.
