An unknown dog owner left his pet on a pole in Zuidlaren on Saturday.
On Twitter, the Police for the Environment and Animals in North Drenthe reports that the owner has left his four-legged friend alone with the apparent aim of getting rid of it.
The dog is microchipped, but not registered on the current owner.
Police are looking for the dog’s owner.
