Dog killed in major fire in Tegelen | 1Limburg

A large barn fire in Tegelen spread to the roof of a home early in the morning on Thursday morning. Eight residents and several dogs were removed from two homes. One dog did not survive the fire.

The fire broke out just before 5 a.m. in a barn on Grotestraat.

Skipped
The fire brigade immediately responded with several vehicles. Since the barn is right behind a semi-detached house, the fire brigade quickly scaled up. The fire eventually spread to a house.

Platform
A second aerial platform was used to extinguish the fire in the roof of the house. Since the fire brigade had problems with the supply of extinguishing water in the beginning, two water trucks were sent. The fire master signal was given around 7:00 am. The fire brigade is still busy putting out the fire.

No injuries
A total of eight people and several dogs were evacuated from two homes. No one was injured, the fire service said. One of the dogs died in the fire. Residents will not be able to return to their homes for the time being. Reception is arranged for them.

Main Street is closed. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
