“This morning we received a report that a dog had been in a car on the top deck of the MUMC+ parking garage for a long time,” the police wrote on Facebook. The dog was in the car for at least 1.5 hours, after which the police decided to break in a window. “Given the outside temperature of 20 degrees and because the car was in full sun, we tapped the window and freed the dog from the car.”
The dog was panting and “was obviously hot.”
Officers tracked down the dog’s owner. “Due to personal circumstances, it was decided not to draw up an official report.” The cost of the window is “obviously” for the owner, according to the police.
