Hansi Flick has been the German national coach since summer 2021. The title collector came to the DFB from FC Bayern as the successor to Joachim Löw. But how do the fans see the new coach?
Hansi Flick and the national team said goodbye to the international break with a 1-1 draw against the Netherlands. A small flaw in Flick’s statistics as national coach, which is still impressive: With eight wins from nine games and only two goals conceded, the national coach got off to a good start. The 57-year-old has also made himself popular with the fans.
As a survey by the opinion research institute Civey on behalf of t-online shows, Flick knows how to inspire the supporters of the DFB more than his predecessor Joachim Löw. The question was: “Do you enjoy the national football team more since Hansi Flick took over the post of national coach from Joachim Löw?”
The result: Around two thirds (65 percent) of German football fans agreed and answered the question either with “Yes, definitely” (39 percent) or “rather yes” (26 percent). 19 percent were undecided. Only 16 percent answered the question in the negative. Flick may still be able to convince them at the World Cup in Qatar.
