Does FC Bayern have to pay more for Erling Haaland than Real and City?

The wildest rumors have been surrounding Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland for months. Now there are new speculations that also affect FC Bayern. How much BVB can ultimately earn through a transfer obviously depends on several factors.

Manchester City and Real Madrid have emerged as supposed favorites in poker for Erling Haaland in recent months. But FC Bayern has also been repeatedly traded as a possible buyer, especially since the future of world footballer Robert Lewandowski has not been fully clarified.

The Pole is contractually bound to the record champions until 2023, but according to media reports from Spain he is now thinking of saying goodbye next summer. Should this actually happen, Haaland will automatically be targeted on Säbener Straße.

“Sky” picks up on rumors that FC Bayern would have to pay a little more money for the Norwegian than Manchester City or Real Madrid, for example. According to this, domestic clubs from the Bundesliga have to pay a higher transfer fee to BVB than foreign clubs. The Revierklub apparently wants to avoid that the direct competition in everyday league life is additionally strengthened.

No deadline for Erling Haaland?

The TV broadcaster is now assuming that all change modalities have been regulated in an extra contract. The base amount of the transfer, which BVB could at least generate, should be 75 million euros. It is possible, however, that ultimately more money could flow into the Ruhr area.

According to “Sky”, contrary to reports to the contrary, there is no deadline by which Erling Haaland must make a decision in order to be able to activate those contractual clauses.

What is certain, however, is that BVB will soon finally want to have clarity about what is probably their most important personal information. “Bild” recently reported that the center forward wants to make a decision in April.
