Does Noa Vahle, Linda de Mol’s daughter, have a big problem? According to media critic Victor Vlam, yes. He states that this scion of the billionaire De Mol family is ‘extremely boring’.
Noa Vahle is enthusiastically praised in particular by her colleagues at SBS 6. As loud as possible, in the hope that John and Linda de Mol also receive the compliments from the TV pupil. But isn’t the hype created around her last year a bit exaggerated? In fact, she currently adds very little to VI and De Oranjewinter.
Extremely boring
According to media critic Victor Vlam, she is simply not special enough for television. “She’s boring, I’ll tell you that. She’s boring, that’s the problem. She’s really boring. Noah Vahle is really extremely boring. That is the problem,” he judges mercilessly harshly in the always controversial podcast The Communicados.
There’s nothing wrong with Noa at all, he thinks. “Yes, she seems very natural. But the real question is: is Noa interesting? And I have now had the experience several times where I thought to myself: I don’t think so.”
No excesses
Noa can be seen at VI in the role of sports reporter. “I often thought to myself: I thought it was a bit boring, but hey, it could be that I just don’t like football that much, so maybe it’s just me. But then I read that interview with LINDA. girls and then I saw someone there who is very conservative, doesn’t have any excess.”
Victor continues: “She emphasizes that she is always on her guard. That she never danced like crazy on the bar, that she was never loose as a teenager. It seems as if she hasn’t had any excesses in life and then I think to myself: I’m so not interested in her as a person. And then I saw her on New Year’s Eve at Ik Hou Van Holland.”
‘She doesn’t add anything’
That performance with mother Linda was also terrible, according to Victor. “I don’t think she really added anything to that whole program. She might as well not have been there, while all kinds of other guests are doing everything they can to please the audience. You have to entertain people a bit there. She doesn’t do any of that.”
What is his conclusion? “My conclusion: I think she is a very nice girl. Really a very nice girl. But I find her excruciatingly boring.”
Drilled Noa
How exactly does that happen according to Victor? “She is being drilled by her family as if she were the future queen of the Netherlands. And the result is that she’s as boring as the royal family. She is colourless. So I do think that’s the problem. And I think there’s a second reason she’s so boring.”
What then? “That as a nepobaby she never had to fight for attention. That always came naturally to her. And that is of course something that makes her different from many other people. Everyone has to fight to be on television. You have to stand out. You have to stick your head above the parapet. Otherwise you just won’t get there.”
Heavenly
Anyone who works in the world of television knows that you have to stand out, says Victor. “And so you also have to do things to stand out. She never had to do that. And the result is that she never became good at being interesting and attracting attention. And that unfortunately makes her excruciatingly boring.”
Fortunately, Noa will get endless opportunities from her family, says Victor, but: “I think in any other case they would have said: this is someone who is not yet ready for the big stage. She’s just simply not charismatic enough for that.”
