FC Bayern invested around 80 million euros in the services of Lucas Hernández in the summer of 2019. The central defender is now set in Munich. Allegedly, both parties are therefore thinking about an early contract extension.
As “skyreported that there was already a meeting with Hernández’ advisor. However, the talks with the agent are not yet to be really concrete. The exchange is “at an early stage,” reports the TV station.
The 26-year-old is tied to Bayern Munich until 2024. After a difficult start, the 2018 world champion in Munich has long been a seed and has always been in coach Julian Nagelsmann’s starting eleven in the previous four competitive games this season.
According to “Sky”, FC Bayern would like to extend the contract with the Frenchman in the long term, and Hernández himself should “be able to imagine this very well”, they say. The defender switched from Atlético Madrid to the Isar in 2019 for around 80 million euros – a club record.
Pavard wants to stay at Bayern
At Bayern, Hernández plays in the back four with Benjamin Pavard. There have been numerous rumors about the right-back in recent weeks. Manchester United are said to have had the 26-year-old on their list. However, Pavard probably canceled the English record champions. The French sports newspaper “L’Équipe” and “Sky” report on this.
Pavard is said to have decided to stay at Bayern. Although the Bundesliga side signed Noussair Mazraoui in the summer for right-back, Pavard has so far been given preference under Nagelsmann.
The 35-year-old repeatedly emphasized that he wanted to keep the former Stuttgarter. It seems Nagelsmann will get his wish and can count on Pavard this season too.
