The Italian jewelery brand Dodo has opened a new boutique in Berlin at Rosenthaler Strasse 32. This is an important step in the company’s expansion in Germany, which recently saw the renovation of its Düsseldorf store at Königsallee 30.
Rosenthaler Strasse was chosen for its location on Hackescher Markt, a “cozy” neighborhood with a strong identity in the Mitte district known for its nightlife and shopping.
“Here historic buildings, Art Nouveau courtyards, contemporary art galleries, bookstores and indie clubs meet, and the language of freedom has always been cultivated through graffiti art,” explains Dodo in a statement.
The interior of the store was designed to express that freedom – the freedom to be yourself and the freedom to express your uniqueness through jewelry. Accordingly, there is a flowing concept without corners and edges and large shop windows and circular showcases.
“The atmosphere is like that of an apartment, it’s warm and cosy. It is divided into two areas, the first dedicated to discovering the collections, while the second is more for conversation and is characterized by pastel tones,” adds the brand.
Cream-colored glitter walls and powder-pink ceilings contrast with bright coral-colored paneling. Lacquers in bolivar green, powder pink and pale gold adorn the most important furnishing elements and are combined with velvety designer seating and poufs. Photo galleries are dedicated to the ambassador Ann-Kathrin Götze and the jewelry collections.
In Germany, the brand was able to win the actress Gina Stiebitz as an ambassador last year; Today, the influencer Ann-Kathrin Götze represents the brand because values such as inclusivity, sharing, equality and empowerment play a major role for her, which are also indispensable for the brand.
“The new DoDo boutique in Berlin is a hug that welcomes everyone who wants to tell their story, regardless of age or gender. It’s a place where the spirit of community is very much alive, because choosing DoDo means choosing to live in an open, supportive and environmentally conscious way,” says Dodo.
The brand’s jewelry collections and pendants are made with 100 percent sustainable gold, silver, diamonds and precious stones from certified mines. In addition, DoDo uses 100 percent recyclable PET plastic made from traditional plastic bottles for its jewelry, as well as Replay 71, which is made from complex plastics fished from the ocean or reclaimed from household waste.
