Documentary series about André Hazes can also be seen on VTM2 | TV

Cheeru Mampaey, the Flemish documentary maker who also made series about the FIRE movement and plastic surgery, was allowed to follow André Hazes for two years. Initially, the series was going to be about how Hazes was preparing for a concert in the Rotterdam concert temple Ahoy in 2021, but that comeback turned out differently than expected. “He hadn’t sung in front of a large audience for a year and felt very insecure,” said the TV maker. “His fear of failure started to crop up, and to deal with it he took refuge in alcohol and other things. (In a trailer André says that it is about drugs, ed.)”, Cheeru Mampaey already told this newspaper.

The documentary can be seen in the Netherlands from 20 October on the streaming service Videoland, but is also broadcast in our country on VTM2. It is not yet known when we can expect the series.
