State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin said on Tuesday that doctors did not release LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky from the hospital. Zhirinovsky on February 2 contracted the coronavirus and was placed in the Central Clinical Hospital. As Volodin said, the head of the Liberal Democratic Party is feeling better, but for now he needs medical attention.
“I talked to him yesterday, he is much better, he really wanted to speak today, but the doctors won’t let him go,” Volodin explained.
On Tuesday, deputies of the State Duma are discussing the ratification of treaties recognizing the independence of the DNR and LNR.
Information about the amendment Zhirinovsky confirmed the leader of the Communist Party Gennady Zyuganov. At a meeting of the faction in the State Duma, he said that Zhirinovsky coped with COVID-19.
“Zhirinovsky is getting better,” Zyuganov said.
Zhirinovsky’s condition is assessed as stable, writes TASS.
