Dock worker Ronny (55) died after crashing into a forklift truck, parquet continues business manager: “That driver should never have driven that forklift truck” | Antwerp

A year and a half ago, 55-year-old Ronny Rolis from Hamme was driving a van across the Joosen Transport site in the port of Antwerp, where he worked, when he collided with a forklift truck coming from the other direction. Because the forklift’s forks pierced his windshield, he was instantly killed. Remarkably enough, the public prosecutor’s office is not prosecuting the driver of the forklift truck, but the manager of the company, Kurt Joosen (45). “He made mistakes that affected the well-being of his employees.”
