Kiss manager Doc McGhee confirmed in an interview yesterday (March 22) that a biopic of the band about the early years after their formation in 1973 will be released on Netflix next year. However, there is no information about the cast yet.

“It’s a biopic about the first four years of KISS,” he said on “The Rock Experience with Mike Brunn” (from 27:33). “We’re just starting out, I mean we’ve already sold and everything is settled, we have a director in McG […] it will come out in 2024”.

McG should mean the director Joseph McGinty Nichol. According to other reports, Joachim Rønning is directing the Netflix production. This would also work with Paul Stanleys Tweet in April 2021 agree in which he confirmed the planning of the film under the creative direction of the Norwegian director. McG is currently working on the Netflix comedy Family Leave, which will also star Matthias Schweighöfer. He hasn’t commented on the biopic rumors yet.

Kiss will go on a farewell tour this summer, even if that doesn’t mean the end of the band. After the last concert in December this year, several questions regarding the biopic should have been answered.
