Smartphones and technological advances have replaced many previously common devices. Many Finns have been staring at overhead transparencies for hundreds of hours, rewinding cassettes to watch their favorite movies, or being careful not to shake the record player in their pocket too much. Many may find a home-curved TV or a 3D TV or DVD player. Here were just a few examples of popular devices that have slowly become obsolete. We put together devices over the years that are certainly familiar to many, but can no longer be seen in the big picture, even if they can still be found in the homes of some. However, some of the devices on the list have made a small-scale return or are still in use among enthusiasts.
