Around 1985 McDonald’s opened the very first Zoetermeer branch in the Stadshart. At that time we already got French fries and hamburger sandwiches on the Promenade. Then there were still a few tables with plastic chairs in front of the door where you could quickly eat your snacks and drink your milkshake.

Some kids celebrated their game at McDonald’s where you could grill your own hamburger in the kitchen. Or we played on the slide at the back of the restaurant.
