In a scam message spreading in the name of hosting companies, they are asked to pay the company fees and rents for November to a different bank account than before. Money should not be transferred to the account mentioned in the message.
At least scam messages are now being sent in the names of Isännöintihtiö Fallenius Oy, Wisenheimers and Kodisto.
The message has come from the sender “Taloyhtiö” as a text message, and it reads like this:
– Information for residents. The rent and consideration payment information will change in November 2023. Account number: “FIXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX” Due date 1st of the month. Use the same reference number. If the November rent or your consideration is still unpaid, please use the payment information above.
The building company to which the fraudulent invoice information applies is not mentioned by name.
The hosting companies have reacted to the situation and approached the residents with their own e-mail message. In the version of hosting company Fallenius, it is reminded that the company never sends payment information or requests by text message.
– The scam message is not related to us or the recipient of the message in any way. Scam messages are sent to a random target group, the message says.
Don’t pay! The hosting company Fallenius has approached its customers by email to warn them about the situation.
