A musician who played in the band Dixie Chicks Laura Lynch has died in a car accident, reports TMZ.
Lynch was 65 years old.
According to TMZ, Lynch was driving on a two-lane highway in Texas. The oncoming car had started to overtake the car in front and collided with Lynch’s car.
Lynch was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was transported to the hospital. He suffered no life-threatening injuries.
Lynch was one of the original members of the Dixie Chicks, a country band formed in 1989 By Robin Lynn Macy, by Martie Erwin and by Emily Erwin with. Lynch served as the band’s bassist and soloist.
Lynch left the band in 1995. The band changed their name to The Chicks in 2020.
Today, the band also includes Erwin’s sisters, now named Emily Strayer and Martie Maguire Natalie Maines.
