Diver (42) in De Gavers becomes unwell and dies

The 42-year-old man had entered the water to perform some tests. At a turning point he passed out, his fellow divers pulled him out of the water.

Resuscitation was no longer possible, the Waregemnaar died on the spot. An expert from the public prosecutor’s office came on site, who could only rule out malicious intent and determine a natural death.
