Dive instructor in court after dead couple
The dive instructor must answer for accidental blows and injuries resulting in death. The couple from Torhout drowned on September 15, 2019 when they dived to a German warship off the northern French coast. The weather conditions that day were too bad for the dive, which was also set up too hastily. In addition, the woman did not have sufficient experience to dive without an instructor.
The body of the woman was found a year later near the wreckage, the body of the man remains without a trace.
