Distribution of refugees within Europe not yet on the agenda, according to cabinet

A redistribution of refugees within Europe is “out of the question now”. According to State Secretary Eric van der Burg (Asylum), Poland and Hungary have said they can “get the job done”. The cabinet still expects a large number of Ukrainian refugees, since they can continue to the Netherlands independently. Temporary shelter places are being sought diligently, while at the same time the House of Representatives is calling to think about how shelter, education and care can be arranged for the long term.
