After an overtaking maneuver on the federal highway 1 near Vogelsdorf (Märkisch-Oderland district), there was an argument between two women.
A driver is said to have attacked the other and spit in her face, police said on Monday morning.
A 40-year-old from Berlin had previously tried to overtake a slow-moving car in the left lane. When the woman wanted to cut back in, the other driver accelerated. The 40-year-old was only just able to prevent an accident. Shortly thereafter, the driver of the slower vehicle got out and spat on the 40-year-old, it said.
The 40-year-old then followed the other driver to Prädikow, about 30 kilometers away. When she stopped again, the driver became abusive and insulted and kicked the 40-year-old.
When she wanted to call the police, she slapped her cell phone out of her hand, injuring her slightly. The police are investigating the incident on Sunday morning for coercion, assault and insult.
