Several of Disney’s and Pixar’s favorite animations will be continued, reveals Walt Disney’s CEO Bob Iger in the recent quarterly results report.
– I am pleased to announce that our animation studio is working on sequels to our most popular films: Toy Story, Frozen and ZootropolisIger states.
– We will tell you more about these productions soon, but this is a great example of how we can lean on our brand and trademarks, the CEO continues.

The good news about the continuation of the favorite films was announced after the company announced the dismissal of 7,000 employees. In addition to this, Disney has to make cost savings of no less than five billion euros in each sector.

Frozen, Toy Story and Zootropolis has received immense popularity in each of its parts. Frozen 2 -film brought Disney 1.34 billion euros in profits. Zootropolis generated more than 947 million euros for the company, while the one released by Disney Pixar in 2019 Toy Story 4 generated 993 million euros.
The films in question have been profitable in every aspect. The same cannot be said about the company’s latest release. Last year’s Wonderful World movie grossed less than 70 million euros worldwide, as a result of which the movie was released on the company’s Disney+ streaming service only a month after the premiere.

A hit on the Disney+ service Encanto-film earned the company 237 million euros worldwide.
Based on winter landscapes Frozen-princess movie has won a lot of awards. The film was awarded at the 2014 Oscars as the best animated film of the year, in addition to which the film’s theme song Let It Go was chosen as the best film song of the year.

Toy Story, the first part of which premiered already in 1995, has gathered cult fame in animation circles. The last part, Toy Story 4received two Oscar nominations in 2020, of which it won one: the best animated film of the year.
