Our planet’s resources are finite. This irreversible fact drives Komrad’s to create shoes that close the loop. In their quest for one NO WASTE-Planets for future generations, Komrads makes a promise to create a sneaker with the least possible impact on the planet we live on. Immerse yourself in their rebellious and, above all, very green world during SEEK Berlin. Komrads presents 3 full-fledged collections this summer with all eyes on the launch of the “New Kid on the Block” OCNS [oceans] and her unique rebirth program
are directed.
APL collection
The APLS is the first sustainable original collection from Komrads. A sneaker that does not require the harvesting of natural raw materials and is made entirely from recycled and reused materials. This is done without compromising on comfort or design. The main component of the shoe is vegan apple leather. The organic apple leather is made in Italy from waste from the apple juice industry.
ICNS Collection
The Komrads ICNS have a long history. The model was first produced in the Soviet Union in the 1950s in response to American basketball coach Converse All Stars. Komrads made the switch to a fully durable canvas sneaker without changing the iconic design. In keeping with the Komrads philosophy, it was decided to make the cult sneaker completely ecological.
OCNS collection
OCNS is the youngest collection. These sneakers are made from plastic found in the oceans. The polluted seas and oceans, one of the biggest pollution problems, were the inspiration for this collection. For this, Komrads has entered into a partnership with SEAQUAL®. SEAQUAL® YARN is one of the most environmentally friendly fibers in the world. It guarantees high-quality polyester yarn made from recycled materials, including plastic that has been scavenged from the oceans to protect our planet’s waters and all of its wildlife.
In its quest for a zero-waste planet, Komrads is committed to innovation and developing ways to protect the environment.
Believing that the future CIRCULAR is presented by Komrads at trade fairs for the first time SMOS
[Slippers Made Of Sneakers].
In their 3-step Rebirth program, they collect old, worn-out sneakers, grind them up into colorful pieces, and give them a second life by combining the ground-up material with recycled
mix rubber. The result? A hip, exclusive summer slipper. These will appear for the first time in the SEEK presents.
Be among the first to discover all these new projects and visit the SEEK H9 C75.
