The futsal players of Hovocubo will complete the game in the semi-finals of the play-offs on Wednesday evening. This will take place without an audience on the KNVB Campus in Zeist. The duel in Zwaag was stopped with more than five minutes left on the clock, because supporters threw bottles on the field.
Hovocubo coach Sander van Dijk is not allowed to be present during the game. He was sent off by the referee in the altercation that preceded the strike. A Tigers Roermond player is also not welcome in the hall for that reason. A maximum of two board members may come from each club. Furthermore, no public is allowed to be present.
The KNVB wants the game to be played out as soon as possible, because the first game in the final for the national title is scheduled for next Friday. Reigning national champion Hovocubo defends a 2-0 lead and is sure of a place in the final if he wins. The other finalist is FC Eindhoven, which eliminated Lebo from Amsterdam in the semi-finals.
