The difficult away match for Telstar at Roda JC ended in a deception. The White Lions lost 3-0 due to goals from Walid Ould-Chikh, Maximilian Schmid and Arjen van der Heide. As a result, Telstar falls for the sixth time in a row, the worst start to the season ever.
Telstar once again looked for the first points of the season. That seemed to be a difficult task in advance when visiting the surprising leader Roda JC. That mission quickly became even tougher after Walid Ould-Chikh (FC Volendam loanee) scored his fourth goal of the season: 1-0. The Limburg storm subsequently subsided, allowing Telstar to come out of its shell a little more. Zakaria Eddahchouri headed just wide.
He also turned out to be the most dangerous man for the Velsen team again. The attacker created two more chances in the remainder of the first half, but both ended up wide of the goal. Roda had a good opportunity at the other end via Ould-Chikh. This time his effort went into the hands of goalkeeper Joey Houweling.

After halftime it was the team from Kerkrade that started stronger. Houweling was able to save Maximilian Schmid’s first warning shot, but the second chance was successful. There was a smell to it. Schmid appeared to elbow Mitch Apau in the build-up. The referee allowed play to continue, making it 2-0.
Mike Snoei tried to influence the score with a triple substitution. Those changes did not have the desired result, so the score did not change. Telstar therefore lost for the sixth game in a row. ADO Den Haag is the next opponent for Telstar.
