Without Franziska Preuss and Denise Herrmann, Franziska Hildebrand was the best biathlete of the German Ski Association (DSV) in the individual over 15 km at the World Cup in Antholz. The 34-year-old, who is not nominated for the Winter Olympics in Beijing (February 4-20), finished 15th in France’s Justine Braisaz-Bouchet. Anna Weidel, who is in China, only came in 26th.
In the absence of Marte Olsbu Röiseland (Norway) and Hanna and Elvira Öberg (Sweden), Braisaz-Bouchet triumphed after a missed shooting in 42:20.6 minutes ahead of her teammate Julia Simon (2/+51.1 seconds) and Sweden’s Mona Brorsson (2/+1:37.2 minutes). Hildebrand was 3:39.9 minutes behind after four penalties, but was strong with the eighth best time on the cross-country ski run.

Her teammate Anna Weidel meanwhile only made one mistake on the shooting range, but in the end she was 4:19.0 minutes behind the winner. Janina Hettich (5/+5:14.2), Juliane Frühwirt (2/+5:36.4), Hanna Kebinger (3/+5:50.9) and Sophia Schneider (3/+6:00.9). ) clearly missed the top 30.
