From 2022, people with disabilities will be able to proactively (automatically, without an application) receive compensation under OSAGO. The corresponding decree of the government of the Russian Federation has already been signed and entered into force, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting with deputy prime ministers, which was broadcast by “Russia 24”.
“We are talking about people with disabilities and legal representatives of disabled children who need a car for medical reasons,” Mishustin said.
According to the law, half of the cost of the OSAGO policy is returned to such citizens, previously this was done by the regional authorities.
The prime minister recalled that in order to receive the payment, it was necessary to submit documents to social security institutions. Now the Pension Fund will assign compensation to those who are entitled to it automatically, as well as on the basis of an application that can be sent through the Single Portal of Public Services, Mishustin explained.
The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation also noted that the system of providing state support to citizens will be further improved. In particular, social treasury mechanisms will be actively introduced so that services can be used in a convenient format without collecting additional certificates.
