Dirk Draulans sees how Ukraine war is displacing the climate: “I am afraid for my granddaughter’s future”

“When I see Rudi Vranckx reporting from Ukraine, I know: I can’t do that anymore”, confesses Dirk Draulans (65). “After ten years of war reporting, fear gripped me and I gave up.” But the biologist who sent the wrong person home with great aplomb in ‘The Traitors’ never gives up on one struggle: the one for the preservation of nature. In a candid interview, he talks about his dreams for the future, fears and life lessons. “I’ve had an eventful love life, with three children by three different women.”
