The district court of Helsinki confirms to Iltalehti that the instructor Olli Saarelaa accused of driving a vehicle without a license. The case has been brought to the district court on January 30.
Saarela is the only defendant in the case.
It is reported from the district court that the matters that led to the indictment took place on April 3, 2021.
The case will be heard in court on May 11.
According to the Finnish Criminal Code, anyone who drives, steers or controls a motorized vehicle, tram, train, vessel or aircraft without a driving license or without a license showing the required qualifications must be convicted of driving a vehicle without the right to a fine or imprisonment for a maximum of six months.
Iltalehti could not reach Saarela to comment on the case.
Saarela also has a previous criminal record. In 2013, he was sentenced to a 40-day fine for drunk driving. Of these, 240 euros accrued to be paid. The man also had to pay other expenses of around 200 euros. The verdict is final.
