Directing couple Jan Verheyen and Lien Willaert are making a film together again

The Flemish whodunnit will be Jan Verheyen’s twentieth film. His wife Lien Willaert also crawls into the director’s chair. They did that before with Red Sandra and Bittersweet Sixteen.

Among others, Louis Talpe from Kortemark (Under Fire), Gert Winckelmans (Lisa, Undercover), Lynn van Royen (Beau Séjour) and the Dutch Anna Drijver (Undercover) are playing along. The recordings start today in Valkenburg, the film will be shown in cinemas in the middle of 2023.

The plot

The body of Nathalie is found in the garden of the country house of the Deridder family. The family’s daughter disappeared 25 years ago at the age of 16. The gruesome find puts an end to years of uncertainty, but also reveals a long-hidden crime.

When family secrets are unearthed, the present is overshadowed by the past and nothing will be the same.
