Now the two-time Olympic champion Lidija Kalinina-Ivanova, 86, has taken a stand on the matter. Ivanova, who represented the Soviet Union in her career as a gymnast, highlighted the staunch supporter of Vladimir Putin Alexander Ovechkin.

After this, Ivanova gave chilling advice to the Russian athletes.
– I advise our athletes abroad: be strong and don’t open your mouth.
Maksim S, 20, has been detained for three months and faces up to 10 years in prison. He has been playing in Poland since October 2021.
Polish Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro rejoiced at the arrest on Twitter.
– Russian spies fall one by one! A spy working under the guise of sports was caught. The Russian was a player of a major league club, the minister wrote.
