Wrong parked? ticket! But diplomats need not fear the consequences that threaten each of us if we commit traffic violations. Because they enjoy immunity, no criminal prosecution.
It doesn’t matter whether they are parked in a no-parking zone with their special number plates, speeding through the city – or causing accidents.
And so, every year in Berlin, tens of thousands of advertisements for the fleet of the diplomatic corps are registered, but in the end they are not followed up.

The fact that Berlin lost a good 200,000 euros in warning money last year alone is annoying enough. But it is much worse that other people are endangered by reckless behavior in traffic.
Therefore one can only appeal to the diplomats not to abuse their immunity as a free pass for missteps!
