Dior’s eau de parfum for babies has pear and wild rose.
Top fashion house Dior has expanded its range of beauty products. The latest fragrance and skin care products are aimed at babies. You read that right: the luxury brand now offers a perfume for babies.
The fragrance is said to be suitable for use right from birth. According to the instructions, the scent could be sprayed on the baby’s neck or in the room.
Who wants to use?
Bonne Étoile – loosely translated as happy stars – has scent notes of juicy pear, soft wild rose and white musk. Musk gives the scent a soft cottony note. It sounds lovely, but we do wonder, who wants to wear perfume on their baby?
Every parent knows it: nothing smells more wonderful than your own little baby – if only you could have it in a jar for yourself to sniff! Even though the smell of poop and poop may be floating around from time to time, nothing beats the smell of your own baby.
Most of the time, in connection with cosmetics aimed at babies and children, the focus is specifically on being fragrance-free. The fewer fragrances, the less hypersensitivity to them will occur.
Natural raw materials
However, don’t go completely crazy: the product is not a strong-smelling perfume, but is marketed as an eau de parfum. The composition does not contain alcohol and is made from 98% natural ingredients. The remaining two percent are ingredients that affect the appearance, feel and shelf life of the fragrance. The baby’s first perfume costs around 215 euros.
A perfumer has acted as the scent nose for Dior’s baby products Francis Kurkdjian. Other fragrances designed by him include Jean Paul Gaultier’s Le Male, Burberry’s My Burberry and Nina Ricci’s L’Extase.
