During his relationship with Dionne Stax, Sjoerd van Ramshorst discovered that gossip magazines such as Privé and Story really suck their thumbs up. That’s what the NOS star says in the Panorama.
Dionne Stax is a pretty boring TV personality of Omroep MAX these days, but until a few years ago she was quite controversial. Then she was back in bed with her colleague Sjoerd van Ramshorst, then she was sitting on top of Humberto Tan again. The magazines were full of them, much to the chagrin of those involved.
“All made up!”
It was very annoying, says Sjoerd. “Those tabloids just make up a lot. Large parts were simply made up together,” he says in conversation with the Panorama.
Sjoerd notices that those magazines don’t listen to both sides at all. “Neither is there one of those magazines who has ever called me once to ask if it’s right. Not that I would have answered, but that says enough.”

It is a shame that some things are simply published without anything being checked, says Sjoerd. “I was single at the time, so it doesn’t matter what you’re up to.”
“But now I’m married and if it now comes out that I’ve been rolling around with Janneke or Sofietje, while that’s not true at all, then it will of course be less fun. I’m not too concerned about it myself, but it doesn’t seem like much fun for my environment.”
